This is just for fun – I simulated AEG Jamming by installing a switch and modifying the programming in a Trigger Master.
A “jam” stops the gun from firing. Instead of firing, the gun vibrates (like a cell phone) until an IA drill (tap-rack-bang) is done to clear the jam.
So now my gun can simulate shoddy equipment or crappy ammo or dirty guns!
There are three parts to this modification:
- An M4 with a Trigger Master installed.
- Custom programming for the Trigger Master. (Link to the .hex and source code here)
- A microswitch installed into the hollow shell deflector in the M4 upper receiver, so that the switch is pressed when the charging handle is pulled back.
