Trigger Master MOSFET Unit
The Trigger Master is a computer-controlled MOSFET switch for any AEG. It provides the best MOSFET control available and not only adds fire modes to your airsoft gun, but provides battery monitoring and more! No changes to your selector switch are necessary and you can change modes as much as you want. Try them all!
- 3-Round-Burst Mode (SAFE-SEMI-BURST) – With selector on AUTO, the gun fires a 3-round burst with every trigger pull instead of fullauto.
- 3-Round-Burst/FullAuto Mode (SAFE-SEMI-BURST/FULL) – Like burst mode, but if you keep the trigger held down after the burst, the gun goes fullauto! Best of both worlds!
- Semi-Only Mode (SAFE-SEMI-SEMI) – The gun fires one shot per trigger pull, no matter what the selector switch is on.
- Sniper/Designated Marksman Mode (SAFE-SEMI-SEMI with shot delay) – Like semi-only, but a 1 second delay of “dead time” is enforced between each shot.
- Normal (SAFE-SEMI-FULL) – Normal gun operation, but with all the benefits of MOSFET control as well as low battery warning, motor soft-start, active braking, etc.
- New BONUS Mode (SAFE-BURST-FULL) – Something new and experimental for those who like such things!
- “Semi-Locked” units are available by special order. These are capable of semi-auto firing modes only. These are useful for example to Airsofters in New Zealand or Australia or other places where full-auto airsoft guns are not allowed by law.

Installing the Trigger Master Mark III
Installation requires a certain amount of technical ability (rewiring, soldering). Please download and read the documentation and the reference sheet to make sure nothing in there looks like something you can’t handle. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, ask your local gunsmith for help.
The documentation for the Mark III has complete details, but in essence:
- Install the unit as per the diagrams below
- Connect up to a battery for the first time and power up
- Fire 5 shots in semi-auto to train the unit’s auto-timing
- Done! Now you can change additional options, or let it “just work” in SAFE-SEMI-BURST/FULL mode.

About the Trigger Master Mark III and Open Source
The Trigger Master (and its parent product, the SW-PANTHER and SW-CHEETAH from extreme-fire.com) is Open Sourced. That means that the hardware and software is available free of charge for you to make and modify your own if you wish to do so with one condition – any modifications you make must also be made freely available. The original design of the SW-PANTHER and SW-CHEETAH are available from extreme-fire.com. The modifications and design specifications for the Trigger Master are available here (.HEX) and here (.C code). The online development community for the design is at Airsoft Mechanics. However – the Trigger Master name, development, and support provided by Unconventional-Airsoft.com are not free for you to copy and re-use. This means you are free to make your own units, but you can’t call them “Trigger Masters” and you can’t expect me to provide the support, warranty work, or ongoing development for them.
